Summary
The Formula Tech is responsible for preparing and delivering all infant formula.
Adheres to all sanitary regulations and standards established by LBCMC and regulatory agencies.
Responsible for safe and effective operation of equipment needed to prepare infant formula and maintain sanitation in the preparation room.
Completes formula orders and temperature records.
Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented.
Mathematical proficiency required.
Basic mathematical proficiency to include: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and calculation of percentages.
Key Job Responsibilities
Prepares and assures delivery of all infant/pediatric formula as ordered.
Inventories and maintains sufficient infant/pediatric formula room stock.
Calculates new formulations or standardized recipes and obtains verification of those
formulations with the registered dietitian responsible for the nutritional care of that patient.
Ensures proper maintenance of equipment.
Assists in training other Associates.
Ensures that communications are delivered promptly and properly.
Communicates with patient care units and clinical dietitians regarding problems with formula orders, formula storage, or administration.
Prepares quality assurance reports and production summaries, as assigned.

The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
Must have good balance and coordination.
The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs.
