Job Summary:
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
The Dishwasher will also assist with kitchen prep work and cleaning duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
* Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
* Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
* Assist with kitchen prep work such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, or portioning ingredients.
* Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.
* Sweep or scrub floors.
* Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
* Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Prior experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands: The Dishwasher will be required to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
The Dishwasher will also be required to bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
Work Environment: The Dishwasher will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, sharp objects, and potentially hazardous chemicals.
The Dishwasher will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
