Marketing Designer
We are seeking a talented Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team.
The Marketing Designer must possess a mix of creative, technical, and organizational skills with strong typographic and layout skills.
They will work alongside our marketing and visual merchandising teams as well as our printers and vendors.
The Designer is responsible for creating and updating existing in-store signage and other retail-focused collateral.
All materials will need to be translated from English to Spanish.
Must be able to work in a busy, deadline-driven environment with multiple internal clients and be receptive to constructive feedback on their work.
Outstanding organizational, project management, file organization, and archiving skills are key to this position.
Responsibilities
Design Creation: Utilize creative skills and design expertise to produce high-quality signage and collateral materials
Update and/or create in-store signage for retail stores
Oversight of transcreation (English to Spanish), maintaining consistency with brand messaging and ensuring cultural relevance for the Puerto Rican market
Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing
Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners
Collaboration: Work closely with senior managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and brand guidelines.
Translate briefs into visually appealing designs that effectively communicate the intended message.
Digital Asset Management (DAM): Serve as a base-level librarian within the Digital Asset Management system (DAM), organizing and tagging assets daily.
Ensure assets are properly categorized, labeled, and easily accessible to team members.
Workflow Management: Manage design projects within a workflow management tool, such as Adobe Workfront.
Coordinate with team members, track progress, and meet project deadlines efficiently.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for design creation.
Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge in Excel a plus.
Experience with Digital Asset Management tools, specifically Aprimo DAM, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Adobe Workfront or similar workflow management tools is a plus.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on signage and collateral materials
Fluent in English and Spanish
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative abilities
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
