Sales Tax Accountant

*Job Description:* Ensures compliance with sales/use tax laws through the preparation and review of state and local sales/use tax returns, preparation of new license applications,and the preparation and tracking of renewals and other returns required by state and local jurisdictions.
Key Performance Indicators Meeting all compliance requirements and deadlines *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* · Prepares sales/use, business license, and other indirect tax returns.
· Tracks returns and payments to ensure due dates are met by filing and paying timely.
Prepares account reconciliations and payment requests.
· Gathers necessary documentation from internal resources to complete applications and returns.
Assists with indirect tax audits.
· Performs tax research including licensing requirements, tax rates, etc.
· Required Experience Bachelor's Degree required.
· 2 years experience in sales and use taxes or business licenses preferred.
