Position Summary
The pricing specialist is responsible for managing customer pricing requests, building quotes, delivering pricing to account managers and reporting department metrics.

Essential Functions
Development and analysis of various reports used in pricing levels and decision making.
Evaluate outlier lines that are not automatically processed through the flexible price management system.
Provide rating based on established criteria and provide suggested counter pricing.
Escalate to pricing lead and or manager when agreed pricing cannot be reached.
Ability to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
Process a strong attention to detail along with problem solving skills.
Ability to work with and meet deadlines.
Provide report data and metrics to communicate trends, productivity, and profitability for pricing and department activity.
Practice and follow all company policies and procedures.
Monitor competitor pricing trends and follow up on documented prices from the sales team.
Analyze comprehensive statistics, process daily efficiently.
Collect and maintain pricing SOPs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor’s degree(four-year college or technical school) in marketing, business, or economics a plus; or work equivalent.
Experience: Industry experience preferred.
In addition, must possess an understanding of pricing concepts and related principles.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft suite of products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
