The successful candidate must be comfortable with change, learning on the fly and representing the organization in public settings.
Some travel is required.

This position will contribute to the overall success of the image of the organization and its clients.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* * Assist with the execution of strategic communication, news media, social media and public relations plans for clients.
* Assist with creating meaningful messaging or valuable content to the client’s target audience through several channels.
* Assist with various mass communication channels and technologies, media, and more.
* Manage media, including pitching media outlets, follow-ups and securing placements * Analyze and track media placement for clients.
* Perform research of products, information, PR strategies, etc.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES* * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Suites, and Google Documents * Experience with content management systems and workflow and collaboration tools * PR Copywriting experience (newsletters, op-eds, etc.
) * Knowledge of research strategies to develop communications plans * Knowledge of social media and app-based design platforms (e.
g.
, Canva, Powtoons, etc.
) * Ability to create and execute strategic communications plans * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, details and deadlines simultaneously * Effective oral and written communication skills * Ability to work cooperatively with staff and colleagues * Demonstrate clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public * Ability to think creatively and innovatively * Approach to work should be proactive with the ability to effectively prioritize work * In-depth understanding of the company's strategy and direction for the future *Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field, plus up to 2 years of relevant experience for a total of 5 years education and experience.
*Physical Requirements and Working Environment:* * Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
* Unavoidable Hazards: The position is exposed to no unusual environmental hazards.
* Working Outside: The position may require working outdoors regardless of weather for client events.
* Travel: Access to reliable and insured transportation for travel to client meetings, events, etc.
* Sensory (ADA) Requirements: The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing, writing, and speaking abilities.

SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.
