*Outside Sales Representative* *Position Summary: *As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining customer accounts within the Tennessee territory.
Your strong sales acumen, coupled with your ability to build relationships and understand customer needs, will drive business growth and contribute to our success.
Collaborating with a highly specialized sales team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise and provide tailored solutions to our customers in the Jackson, TN market.
*Responsibilities:* * Conduct face-to-face meetings, calls, and virtual interactions with prospects and customers to develop new business and maintain existing relationships.
* Stay knowledgeable about Martin Inc.
's comprehensive range of products, pricing structure, and service offerings to effectively address customer needs.
* Identify and pursue leads, manage prospects, and convert them into loyal customers within the territory.
* Meet or exceed new business sales goals within the territory to contribute to overall company growth.
* Implement strategic sales plans and initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations, highlighting the value and benefits of our products and services.
* Stay up to date on market behavior, competitive trends, and industry developments, adjusting sales strategies as necessary.
* Regularly collaborate with the Sales Manager to review sales activities, track progress toward goals, and provide updates on prospective customers.
* Utilize collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams, to communicate and coordinate with internal teams effectively.
*Requirements:* * Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or 5 years experience in a related industry, such as Safety and Industrial Supply.
* Solid understanding of industrial supplies, fasteners, safety products, and MRO solutions.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage customer accounts and sales leads effectively.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas and build rapport with customers.
* Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel within the territory.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
* Experience with cold calling to obtain new business with in the territory.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
* Limited overnight travel may be required.
