The Digital Marketing Analyst will provide actionable insights to optimize our growing ecommerce business through the analysis of digital marketing channels like websites and social media.
Utilizing tools and data sources like Google Analytics, Tableau, and ad accounts, the role will answer crucial business questions regarding digital marketing and ecommerce impact.
The candidate will employ statistical, machine learning, and data mining techniques to model complex issues, discover insights, and identify opportunities.
This individual will be adept at delivering strategically relevant insights for informed decision-making, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure optimal decision-making at every level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Source valuable data from a wide range of digital measurement systems (GA4, Shopify, Facebook, Google, Tableau, CDP), including real-time and large-scale sources, harmonizing and automating collection processes where applicable Implement an automated system for data extraction and analysis to efficiently monitor sales, digital acquisition, and retention across digital marketing, CDP, and ecommerce platforms where relevant.
Proactively using GA4 to identify what sources of traffic are working in converting on web or other channels and where there are opportunities to improve.
Develop data-driven insights that enable the organization to optimize and remove friction points along the digital journey.
Analyze data to discover trends and patterns in how audiences engage with our digital content, our owned social channels and our website.
Decode the behaviors embedded deep into data sets using machine learning and advanced statistical algorithms.
Able to derive the “so what” from models and support the development of compelling stories that facilitate action and drive growth.
Education/Experience Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Marketing, Business or a related field or 4-6 years in digital analytics.
Experience: Experience with Web Analytics and eCommerce/Direct To Consumer business, including1-3 years analyzing data for an eCommerce leader, national manufacturer, or CPG brand Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendation.
Advanced proficiency in Excel required.
In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.
g.
, Google Analytics, Tableau, DOMO, Big Query, ) Moderate proficiency in Python or R programming language for data analysis and SQL for data collection and extraction Special qualifications or skills Expertise in Digital Measurement Tools: Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Shopify, Facebook Insights, Google Ads, Tableau, and Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
Data Collection and Harmonization: Ability to collect data from multiple sources, harmonize it, and automate data collection processes.
Data Analysis Skills: Strong skills in quantitative analysis, including identifying patterns and trends, and the ability to generate actionable insights from large datasets.
Sales and Acquisition Tracking: Proficiency in creating and managing systems for tracking sales, digital acquisition, and retention across multiple channels.
Digital Marketing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, conversion optimization, and traffic sources.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use data-driven insights to optimize and remove friction points along the digital journey.
Audience Engagement Analysis: Experience in analyzing how audiences engage with digital content, social media channels, and websites.
Storytelling and Presentation Skills: Ability to convert data insights into compelling narratives that drive action and growth.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to proactively identify and address challenges based on data insights.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Ability to work meticulously with large amounts of data to ensure accuracy.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time.
