Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
*Role Overview: *As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks and processes for our two construction companies.
Working closely with an Accounting Assistant, you will ensure the accuracy and correct coding of invoices received, make timely payments, and promptly invoice all customers accurately.
Additionally, you will play a crucial role in reconciling amounts invoiced from our Point of Sale system with our Accounting program, job costing all projects, and identifying opportunities to improve pricing or execution.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes efficiently and accurately.
* Supervise and collaborate with an Accounting Assistant to ensure smooth workflow and task completion.
* Review and verify invoices for accuracy and correct coding.
* Ensure timely payment of invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
* Invoice customers promptly and accurately for services rendered.
* Reconcile amounts invoiced from the Point of Sale system with the Accounting program.
* Conduct job costing for all projects to identify pricing and execution improvement opportunities.
* Assist with other activities, including safety, marketing, and insurance tasks, as needed.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as accounting standards and regulations.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Proven experience (X years) in a similar accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of safety, marketing, and insurance practices in the construction industry is a plus.
