We are looking for a motivated Highway/Roadway Engineer to serve in a technical role on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects.
Previous experience with TDOT highway design, construction phasing/maintenance of traffic, concept alignments, geometric layout and roadway modeling is preferred.
Interchange design and coordination of survey, grading, drainage, utilities and layout of other various site items is a plus.
Project involvement may range from planning and feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase.
Primary Responsibilities As an employee-owner in this role, we’ll count on you to: Oversee the work of Designers and EITs Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects Serve as technical liaison with client on project efforts Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team’s work; working with the Project Manager to assist the team in meeting overall project objectives and client expectations May also assume some project management duties and have a fair amount of client interaction Be open to opportunities to work with a variety of clients, projects and staff through HDR’s collaborative work sharing efforts across North America HDR Highway/Roadway Engineers thrive in this entrepreneurial environment where team members are encouraged to shape their work roles to their strengths and interests.

Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 5 years of experience in highways and local roads engineering projects P.
E.
license preferred or the ability to obtain it Excellent communication and organizational skills Microsoft Office experience.
