Food Service Technician

*Job Summary * Food Service Technicians are a part of the food service team responsible for completing a variety of duties, including food preparation, cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment and work areas, and serving.
*Duties & Responsibilities * Ensure facility compliance with all regulating agencies which includesDivision of Child Care and EarlyChildhood Education, Division of Provider Services and Quality Assurance, and Child and Adult Food Program.
Responsible for the appropriate handling and storage of all food and supplies; always follow regulations regarding the proper techniques for food handling.
Maintains a clean and sanitary workspace at all times in the kitchen and food storage areas.
Ensures meals are prepared following KidSPOT’s menu and Child and Adult Food Program.
Ensures accurate meal portioning utilizing correct serving utensils.
Responsible for temperature and sanitation checks and documentation.
Ensures continual/ongoing dishwashing practice following sanitation expectations.
Maintain a safe environment by following Serve-Safe standards.
Promote team work on a daily basis, communicate and report problems and concerns to the Food Manager.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to resolve conflict and deal with issues.
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
*Education Requirements * High School Diploma (or equivalency).
Serve-Safe Certification *Physical Requirements * Considerable physical activity.
Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
Balancing, bending, crouching, and stooping are routine.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $13.
