Job Summary:
The Route Utility Merchandiser drives a company vehicle, replenishes customer markets and/or vending machines with food and snack products at contracted customer locations.
The Route Merchandiser is the face of the company and projects a professional and positive image of the company, while maintaining and building excellent client and customer relationships.
This position will learn all routes at this location and fill in on open routes as necessary, will work independently in a fast-paced environment, and has an excellent opportunity for advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle and transport fresh food from the warehouse to customer locations.
Maintain a safe working environment in all aspects from load-out to proper material handling, including vehicle safety inspections.
Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for markets.
Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
Daily checks of products in markets and vending machines to ensure fresh, in-date products.
Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of markets and other related equipment.
Prior to beginning the route each day, ensure that the truck is properly loaded with product.
Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services, and promptly resolve any requests, issues, or concerns as they arise from customers and/or Burch Food Services management.
Accountability for inventory, invoices, and cash received.
Maintain a clean, organized vehicle at all times, including pre- & post-inspections.
Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications:
21 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record
Ability to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis
Pass pre-employment drug screen
Clean background check
Pass a DOT physical
After hired, obtain a Class F Driver's License
